This is a picture of the attendants of the May Festival Ensemble dressed in formal attire of the day. Clubs: Examples of the clubs of 1926 were the Thalian Literary Society (girls) , the Delphic Literary Society (boys) and the Philomachian Literary Society. The Beta club was for girls interested in studying the Bible. The Junior Etude club was organized by the music department for students wanting to study music. There was also a history club, a radio club, glee club. The debate club was led by Elizabeth Graham, who was one of Springfield's most famous citizens.
